Police Seek ID of Southport Burglar [Video]

Fairfield police are investigating a nighttime burglary that occurred in Southport at approximately 2:40 a.m. on June 27. 

The suspect -- who was caught on video -- entered the home and stole cash and jewelry from the kitchen area while the residents slept, police said. 

The footage revealed that the suspect is a tall, heavyset male with dark hair, a beard, and a mustache. He appeared to be wearing sweatpants, a long-sleeve sweatshirt, and some sort of hat or stocking on his head. 

He was also barefoot, police said.
