Police: Woman Shoplifted Over $1,600 at Stop & Shop
23-year-old woman also faces several motor vehicle charges.

Stephanie Rossi, 23, of Bridgeport, was charged with fourth-degree larceny on Oct. 26 at approximately 6:31 p.m.
According to police, Rossi attempted to walk out of Super Stop & Shop, 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff, Fairfield, with $1,645 in store merchandise, including groceries and a grocery scan gun. Rossi was recognized by security from a previous incident and was immediately detained when exiting the building.
When police arrived Rossi was subsequently charged with operating with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to insure a motor vehicle and misuse of plates.

Rossi was released on a written promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5. Â
