Retailer Opening New Flooring Store In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — A national flooring retailer is celebrating the opening of its Fairfield location by giving away a $5,000 floor makeover.

Atlanta-based Floor & Decor, a specialty retailer that sells hard-surface flooring, will open its doors in Fairfield on June 21.

The 100,000 square-foot Floor & Decor warehouse store and design center, located at 300 Tunxis Hill Rd., will open with a team of about 50 full-time and part-time associates, according to officials.

“Floor & Decor is thrilled to open our doors in Fairfield,” Ricardo Narvaez, the new store’s chief executive merchant, said in a news release. “We are excited to introduce both professional customers, as well as homeowners, to our one-stop solution for their flooring needs with an extensive selection of in-stock, trend-right flooring options. We offer unmatched service and quality flooring at unbeatable prices. With our free design services, we look forward to helping every customer turn their vision into reality.”

The Fairfield Floor & Decor store will be giving away a $5,000 Floor Makeover as part of its grand opening festivities. Starting on June 21, customers will have the chance to register to win a $5,000 gift card from Floor & Decor.

Interested parties can register here. Registration ends on July 20.

Floor & Decor is also scheduling tours of the new store for builders, contractors and other professionals. Those scheduling tours from June 21 through July 25 will be eligible to win prizes, according to officials.

Floor & Decor is sharing the building with the new Aldi, which will occupy the space that was home to Kohl's for about 20 years before the department store closed last fall.
