Reward Doubled For Info On Fairfield County Robbery Suspect

FAIRFIELD, CT — Law enforcement have more than doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man suspected in robberies across Fairfield County.
In early October, officials were offering a $1,500 reward, but Fairfield police announced Tuesday the reward had increased to $3,500.
The robberies occurred in recent weeks in Fairfield, Westport, Shelton, Norwalk and Danbury, police said. Four of the five robberies took place at banks, according to police.

“It appears the same suspect is responsible for all five incidents,” police said.
Surveillance from the robberies shows a man, who appears to be the same person in each instance, according to police. In each video, the man has similar clothing, mannerisms and eye shape, police said. He has been described as possibly a white or Asian man, who is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, according to police.

The man was seen driving the same vehicle during each incident, police said. The vehicle appears to be a blue Hyundai Elantra Sport, possibly a model from 2016 to 2019, according to police.
The Fairfield robbery happened Sept. 30 at People's United Bank, located in Stop & Shop at 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff.
