Roads Flooded In Fairfield: Police
"Do not attempt to cross, you will get stuck and your vehicle will not be retrieved until waters recede," Fairfield police said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Several roads were flooded Friday morning in Fairfield, according to police, as Tropical Storm Elsa traveled north.
Railroad underpasses were closed at Round Hill Road, North Benson Road and Center Street. Chambers Street was closed at the Interstate 95 underpass.
"Do not attempt to cross, you will get stuck and your vehicle will not be retrieved until waters recede," police said in a Facebook post about 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Johnson Drive was closed from Black Rock Turnpike to Fiske Street. Kings Highway East at Chambers Street was closed in both directions.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue throughout the day, with some producing heavy rainfall, according to the National Weather Service. The area is under flood advisory until 10:15 a.m. Friday, a flash flood warning until 11:45 a.m. and a flash flood watch until noon.
