Briefly, what business are you in?
No. 299 design gallery is a retail home and gift store with a rustic, vintage-vibe. I also offer design services. My tag line sums it up….goods to inspire, excite, create and comfort.
What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
Who knew owning a business had so many facets?! Pair that with my other full-time job of mother of 3 and well, let’s just say this isn’t a lot of down time.
What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
Lately I have had customers tell me that their friend recommended my store to them and compared it to Pickets. (a wonderful Fairfield shop that has since closed.) In my book that’s a terrific compliment, it speaks volumes.
How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
I am frequently asked to donate items for local charities and causes….BRING…IT….ON! I was asked to be the signature boutique for the St. Paul/Operation Hope Show house which will run for 5 weeks starting in mid September. Super excited about that!
