Summer 2020 Sports Camps at Fairfield University
Lacrosse, basketball, field hockey, volleyball and soccer camps for all ages and levels will be run by Fairfield coaches and athletes.

Fairfield University is excited to announce a variety of sports camps this summer, for all ages and levels, including college prospects. The camps will be run by college and high school coaches with the assistance of Fairfield University athletes.
Fairfield University is adhering to and complying with all guidelines set forth by the State of Connecticut, as the safety and wellbeing of the community remains a top priority.

Stags Sundown Lacrosse Clinic: Grades 3rd – 8th

Location: Rafferty Stadium
Stags Sundown Lacrosse Clinic is designed for players of all levels. We offer a great learning experience that focuses on the fundamentals of the game of lacrosse. Campers will be placed in groups based upon both age and skill level to create a pleasurable experience for all campers. Campers will get first hand instruction from Fairfield Lacrosse coaches and players.
Schedule:
The first half of the evening is spent developing the individual player along with team concepts. These skills and concepts are taught and worked on. The second part of the clinic is dedicated to incorporating skills and concepts into games and scrimmage situations.
Please plan to pack food/dinner for your campers each night. Popsicles and ice cream will be provided by Fairfield. A break will be scheduled from 6:00-6:30 p.m. each evening to eat and for a coach demonstration.
Fee: $125
Includes instruction from college and high school coaches and pinnie.
Stags Experience: High School Juniors (2021) and Sophomores (2022)
Thursday, August 6, 2020

Location: Rafferty Stadium
The Stags Experience is a one-day event designed to expose high-school-aged student athletes to experience what it's like to practice and play like a Fairfield Stag. It is held on Fairfield University's campus, on one of college lacrosse's best game-day venues, Rafferty Stadium.
The Stags Experience is an opportunity to have personal positional coaching by the Fairfield Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff as well as gain valuable exposure while scrimmaging against some of the most elite players in the country.
Schedule:
The camp will be structured in two parts: Positional instruction/practice, followed by games. Specific itinerary to be provided.

Jay Young Basketball Camp:

Fairfield Men’s Basketball Coach Jay Young and his staff will teach the fundamentals of basketball and cover a variety of topics relating to the sport. Camp will cover all of the requisite skills to improve the camper’s overall basketball ability. Campers are split into divisions by age and will compete with other campers of their skill level, and will be challenged in a fun, learning environment.

Joe Frager Basketball camp is a fun-filled, action packed hoop experience! Come join the Fairfield Basketball Coaches, your favorite Stag players and learn and improve your skills. We will provide fundamental instruction with basketball specific drills, daily competitions, and 5 on 5 full court, shooting, form, rebounding, etc. Join us for a week of fun!

Invasion Field Hockey Day/Mini Camp:

Morning sessions: 9:00 -10:30 a.m. or 10:30-12:00 p.m. Grades K – 7th
Afternoon sessions: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Grades 7th -12th
This session is designed for players of all ages who want the instruction and challenges of camp, with the convenience of staying at home. Athletes will train on turf facilities so they can improve their stick skills and small-sided tactics. Competitive and fun games will be included in each session to give the athletes an opportunity to apply their new skills in game situations.
· Players will be grouped by age & skill level.
· Players from same school will train together.
· Beginners are welcome.
· Individualized goalkeeper instruction.
· Specialized positional instruction.

Invasion Field Hockey Hi Performance/ID Camp
This is a new camp designed for Grade 8 to pre-college players. Day prospect clinics will be offered in July and August.
This camp is designed for athletes ages 13-18 who are considering playing field hockey in college. Varsity players are invited to attend. Campers are trained like collegiate athletes, practicing techniques and tactics that have been successful for the championship Fairfield University Division 1 field hockey team. Campers are placed in small groups based on age and ability and will receive specific position-related instruction. The campers will have ample opportunity to exhibit their new skills in game situations.

Fairfield Stags Boys Youth Soccer Summer Camp
July 20 – 24 Ages 8 - 14
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The object of the Fairfield Stags Soccer Camp is to provide fun, instruction and excitement in a closely supervised and organized environment, to enhance development as a soccer player. The key goal of the camp is to combine learning and improving basic soccer skills with fun skill instruction and games. Position specific sessions allow all campers to receive coaching advice pertaining to the particular position they play. All campers receive a Fairfield Stags Soccer Camp T-shirt and a ball.

All campers should bring proper soccer equipment: Cleats, shin guards and clothing. Different footwear may be required for the variety of playing surfaces – natural grass, sprint turf, Astroturf and indoor, in case of bad weather.
*Each camper will be provided with a soccer ball on the first day and he/she is responsible for bringing that soccer ball to camp daily. Campers should arrive with a water bottle clearly labeled with their name. Water will be available at all training sites.
Snacks and drinks can be bought at camp site. (Please bring cash)

Fairfield University Men’s Soccer Summer One-Day Identification Clinic
August 1, 2020
Fairfield University ID Clinic is designed for the high school or club player looking to take his game to the next level and experience the unique athletic aspects of the collegiate soccer environment. This is also the best opportunity to be evaluated by the Fairfield University soccer coaches. The standard of play is high and is always very competitive.
This clinic provides extensive tactical and technical training with our staff. Current college players act as counselors for the camp, supporting the coaching staff and interacting with the campers, who will learn from their experiences in and around the college game. There is also the opportunity for campers to participate in an admissions presentation, conducted by the Fairfield University Admissions Department.

Fairfield University Women’s Soccer Summer ID Camp
August 3 and 10 Ages 14 - 18, Girls / Grades 9th – 12th
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session 1
4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Session 2
The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will be hosting two ID Camps on Monday, August 3 and August 10.
Each date will have two separate sessions with the first running from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by the closing session from 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Both sessions will include a 30 minute warm-up followed by two 75 minute training sessions.
Fee: $105 for one session
*Campers may attend both sessions for $175.
Limit: 30 campers per session.
