Super Duper Weenie Represents Fairfield at Governor's Ball

Famed Fairfield Hot Dogs Served at Inaugural Ball in Hartford

Super Duper Weenie represented the Town of Fairfield at Governor's Ned Lamont's Inaugural Ball at the Connecticut Convention Center/Hartford Marriott in Hartford on January 9, 2019. Forty-five state restaurants, vineyards, breweries and eateries were selected by the Governor's Inaugural Team for the evening's cuisine. Samplings ranged from pouched sole with chickpea croquet from Arethusa al tavolo in Litchfield County to Fairfield's famed hot dogs.

Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau joined by his wife Giulia, were among the hundreds of guests who were able to order custom made hot dogs by the Super Duper Weenie crew. According to sources, the First Selectman requested ketchup and mustard on his dog. Other luminaries ranged from Fairfield State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey and her husband Brian Vahey, to actor Christopher Meloni of Happy! and MSNBC Morning Joe's Joe Scarborough.
