FAIRFIELD, CT — A shoplifting suspect was involved in multiple collisions while attempting to escape police Wednesday in Fairfield, according to law enforcement.
Police were called about 1:30 p.m. to Home Depot, 541 Kings Highway Cutoff, about a known shoplifter hiding items at the store, law enforcement said. The Camry then sideswiped a vehicle at Traffic Circle East and was seen on the wrong side of North Avenue, just missing oncoming cars, law enforcement said.
