Teen Driver In Intensive Care After Fairfield Crash: Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — A teen driver is in intensive care after a crash Wednesday in Fairfield, according to police.
The 18-year-old was driving a Jeep Wrangler on Fairfield Woods Road when he struck a retaining wall and tipped the vehicle over, likely after experiencing medical complications, police said.
Responding officers found the Jeep on its side and the driver unconscious, according to police. The officers provided medical aid and the driver was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where he remained in the intensive care unit as of Friday afternoon, police said.

The crash, which closed traffic for over an hour Wednesday night on Fairfield Woods Road, remained under investigation Friday afternoon.
