Celebrate National Tequila Day at Bodega

Here are five things to know about today in Fairfield:

1. The weather. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday, otherwise expect partly sunny skies with temperatures reaching a high near 85. 

2. Government meeting(s). The Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room at 501 Kings Highway East to discuss the math textbook complaint. More information can be found here.

3. Concert - Poor Man's Whiskey: The band Poor Man's Whiskey, described as "an explosive young bluegrass band from California with a wild sense of humor," will play at the Fairfield Theatre Company at 7 p.m. Wednesday.  

4. Public input needed for Merritt Parkway project. The town of Fairfield encourages the public to provide input to the Connecticut Department of Transportation on a state project to rehabilitate a salt shed located on Jefferson Street, adjacent to the northbound entrance ramp of exit 46 of the Merritt Parkway. 5. Celebrate National Tequila Day at Bodega Taco Bar in Fairfield. From the restaurant's Facebook page: "July 24th is NATIONAL TEQUILA DAY! Come join us this Wednesday for some good old fashioned Bodega fun! From 5-9 we will be offering samples of the newest addition to our higher end tequila offerings, paQui' plata! And if you didn't know, paQui' in the ancient Aztec tounge means "to be happy." AND to make it even better, on July 25th which we have officially named National Tequila Hangover Day, we will be offering 2 for 1 breakfast tacos all day all night! See you there!"
