
Thieves are targeting unlocked cars in the beach area of town, police said.
A Judson Road resident reported Wednesday that her unlocked car was entered overnight. Stolen was a Magellan GPS values at $300.
On Thursday an Oldfield Road resident reported that his two unlocked vehicles were entered overnight. A credit card, the vehicle registration, and a checkbook were stolen from one car; a TomTom GPS ($300), vehicle registration, and certificates of registration for two Sea-Doo watercrafts were taken from the second car.
The owner also reported that $1,500 in damage was done to the radio in the second vehicle sometime overnight.
This is under investigation.
