Wakeman Seeks Community Scholarship Support on Giving Day 2-28

Fairfield and Bridgeport youth stand to benefit from donations made by community to Wakeman Boys & Girls Club's scholarship fund.

(Wakeman Boys & Girls Club)

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club is proud to be part of Giving Day – a 24 hour online giving marathon on Thursday, February 28, powered by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation. Each year, Wakeman provides tens of thousands of dollars in financial aid and scholarships to children and teens throughout the organization.

Donations made to the Club through Giving Day support this fund so all children in our community can access the Club to feel safe, do better in school, learn healthy habits, have fun, and be on a path to a bright future.

Your gift’s impact:
$55 - provides 11 weeks of enrichment classes for a child in the McKinley Outreach.
$130 – provides After School Program for a child at the Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse.
$250 – provides daily bus transportation for 2 children from school to the Southport Clubhouse.
$450 – provides 6 weeks of summer camp for a child at the Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse.
