Wakeman Summer Camp Signups Are Underway

Register today for Wakeman's 2021 Summer Camp! We are offering 9 weeks of Full Day and Half Day Camps for students currently in K-8th grades, as well as two weeks of "Be Fit" Camp for current 6th-8th graders, and three weeks of Basketball Camp for students currently in grades 3-8.

Students finishing middle school can be a part of our Leaders in Training (LIT) Program, and current 9th and 10th graders can be a part of our Counselors in Training (CIT) Program. Both LIT and CIT programs help teens develop and strengthen skills as camp counselors and future leaders in all walks of life, working directly with camp groups while also learning behind the scenes camp planning and organization.

Each week of regular Day Camp has a special theme, so campers might find themselves joining in a summer Olympics one week (Wakeman style of course!) and the next week testing their skills in our bike rodeo. Weekly themes enhance each week but are not the sole focus of that week's camp. We will also be offering daily Free Choice, where we have each camp group choose their own activity together.

Our 2020 summer camp at the Southport Clubhouse was an incredible season of kids learning, having fun and making new friends through sports, games, art, STEM, nature hikes, special guests and much more. Safety of members and staff remains our #1 priority for 2021. Our camp operates in accordance with the CT Office of Early Childhood and other state regulations in consultation with the Fairfield Health Department, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other health, first responders and youth development professionals.

Campers are considered to be in the grade that he or she most recently completed in the 2020-21 School Year.
