Writers Read, Star Wars Movie Marathon

Here's what's going on in and around Fairfield on Tuesday, Oct. 1: 

• 'Writers Read' offers author talks to connect published authors with writers at the Fairfield Library Tuesday evening. 

• Donate winter hats, mittens, scarves and gloves to benefit hundreds of local families in need this season on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield Tuesday. 
  
  
• Leading up to Star Wars Reads Day on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Fairfield Library will be showing Star Wars movies each afternoon from 3:30 - 6 p.m.
