MINOOKA, IL — Over the past several weeks, motorists in the Minooka area have noticed the reconstruction of Ridge Road is well underway. The road improvement project aims to make Ridge Road four lanes in parts of Minooka. On Friday, you might want to steer clear of Ridge Road in Minooka unless you're in the mood to wait in the middle of a long traffic jam.

"Concrete paving is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, August 21st on Ridge Road at McEvilly Road," Minooka village officials notified Patch. "Motorists can expect increased delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered."
