DUI No. 4 For Wilmington Man From Largemouth Lane: Police

WILMINGTON, IL ? A 44-year-old Wilmington man who spent Friday the 13th consuming too much alcohol now faces two felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence, according to Will County prosecutors. It's also the fourth DUI for Jeremy Purkart, according to court records.

Purkart was under the influence of alcohol last Friday night while driving his Chevrolet Silverado along Water Street, a main thoroughfare, in Wilmington, according to the criminal complaint from Wilmington Police Detective Samantha Sullivan.

Purkart's prior DUIs happened on Dec. 15, 2002 in Will County, Feb. 2, 2008 in Tennessee, Feb. 1, 2012 in Will County and "said violation being a fourth violation," prosecutors noted.

Purkart was booked into the Will County Jail at 1:56 a.m. Saturday. He got let out of jail around 3 p.m. Wednesday, after posting 10 percent of his $30,000 bail.

Jail records also indicate that Purkart was in the Will County Jail for two days in December after Joliet police arrested him on charges of disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substances and resisting arrest. In that case, he was let out of custody after posting 10 percent of his $7,500 bail.
