Channahon Man Beats Girlfriend Then Attacks Joliet PD: Cops
Joliet police officers responded to the 200 block of Madison Street and hauled away Tyler Sukley, but he did not go quietly, reports show.

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old Channahon man was arrested on felony domestic violence charges by Joliet police officers on Sunday night and police say that Tyler Sukley punched his girlfriend in the face, that he broke a beer bottle over a 38-year-old man's head and later attacked Joliet officers before damaging one of the squad cars.
The wild incident involving Sukley's arrest occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday. Joliet squad cars rushed to the 200 block of Madison Street after learning that Sukley's 32-year-old girlfriend was injured. By the night's end, Sukley was taken to the Will County Jail on charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, obstructing justice and criminal property damage.
Joliet police say they found Sukley's girlfriend on the ground with several injuries to her face. A 38-year-old man at the residence was also injured, suffering extensive injuries to his head and chest. The two were taken by ambulance to the nearby AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center and their injuries were not life-threatening, according to the Joliet Police Department.

Sukley's girlfriend fled the apartment and got someone to call the police. Sukley tried to get away, but Joliet police captured the Channahon man after a short chase.
"While officers were trying to place Sukley in the back of a squad, he spat on the leg of an officer," police reports show. "Once in the squad car, Sukley began kicking the windows. After officers opened the squad door, Sukley then kicked the leg of an officer."
Sukley refused to participate in the booking procedures at the Joliet Police Department. He remains lodged in the Will County Jail.
