Channahon Man Gives Joliet Police Fake Name: Cops
The 28-year-old Channahon resident who lives on West Fox Trail was picked up by Joliet police on Monday morning.

JOLIET, IL — A 28-year-old Channahon man stopped by Joliet police on Monday morning has ended up in Will County's Jail after police say he obtained several Xanax pills without a legal prescription to have them. Chad Layfield, who lives on Fox Trail Drive, remains incarcerated on charges of possession of controlled substances, driving while license revoked, obstructing identification, improper use of registration and operating without motor vehicle insurance.
Joliet police pulled over Layfield's car around 10:35 a.m. on the city's west side, at Clement and Richmond Streets. The registration did not match the vehicle, police said.
"During the traffic stop, Layfield provided a name to officers and then indicated that the name he gave was fictitious," Joliet police advised. "After Layfield was positively identified, it was determined that he held a revoked Illinois driver’s license and could not provide insurance for the vehicle."
