Channahon, Minooka Business Guide: What's Open And Closed In Town

MINOOKA, IL —The coronavirus is having a profound impact on the global economy, and has been particularly damaging to local businesses that depend on foot-traffic and in-person interactions with their customers. Even so, many businesses have found ways to stay open and to offer delivery, pick-up and safe-distance transactions to serve the community.

We put a call out to local businesses on the Channahon-Minooka Patch last week and asked them to update their status, give details on how you can continue to patronize them and to let the community know how they can best help during these challenging times.

So far, more than 40 local businesses have responded with information to share with residents.

Here are what just a few Minooka and Channahon businesses are doing:

• Wyman Automotive, an auto repair business at 800 Rail Way Court in Minooka, announced that it will be open starting Monday, April 6.
• Minooka Collision Center and Towing, 512 Twin Rail Drive in Minooka, remains open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Meents Law, 25158 West Eames in Channahon, remains open for legal matters. However, no in office meetings involving clients are taking place until the shelter in place order is lifted.
• Channahon General Rental, 24138 South Municipal Drive, a tool, party and equipment rental business, says it remains open for curbside service and deliveries. Customers are asked to call ahead at 815-467-0173 to schedule an appointment.
• Minooka Grain Lumber & Supply, 404 Mondamin St., Minooka, announced that its retail store remains open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
