Channahon School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Channahon is August 18. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Channahon School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/18: First Day of School, 5-Hour Day

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/15: Early Dismissal for School Improvement (TRS/CJH at 11:00 a.m., PP/NBG at 11:30 a.m.)

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Teacher Institute Day)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/31: Early Dismissal for School Improvement (TRS/CJH at 11:00 a.m., PP/NBG at 11:30 a.m.)

November

• 11/20: Early Release for Parent Teacher Conferences (TRS/CJH at 1:40 p.m., NBG/PP at 2:10 p.m.)
• 11/21: No School (Parent Teacher Conferences)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/8: Early Dismissal for School Improvement (TRS/CJH at 11:00 a.m., PP/NBG at 11:30 a.m.)
