Chicago Rush South hosting Junior Rush soccer for kids 3-6

Young kids can learn soccer fundamentals from licensed coaches in a fun and engaging environment

MINOOKA — Chicago Rush South soccer club will offer a Junior Rush youth development program this fall, teaching children ages 3-6 soccer fundamentals in a fun and educational environment.

The six-week program will be held Wednesday evenings from Sept. 19 to Oct. 24 at the Minooka Community High School Central Campus, 301 Wabena Ave., Minooka. The program will meet in the grass field behind the stadium and tennis courts. Kids ages 3 and 4 will meet from 5:15 to 6 p.m, while kids ages 5 and 6 will meet from 6 to 7 p.m.

The cost for the program is $100, and participants will receive a $10 early-bird discount if registering before Sept. 1.

The sessions will include activities and games designed to teach and build on age-appropriate fundamental soccer skills. Participants will be taught by Chicago Rush South coaches who have experience with and been trained in working with young children.

The Junior Rush program is designed to serve as a steppingstone to Chicago Rush South's more structured recreational and competitive club soccer programs.

Participants will need shin guards and a Size 3 soccer ball. Soccer cleats are recommended, and the children should bring a water bottle to each session.
