Chicago Rush South offering Junior Rush for kids ages 3 to 6

MINOOKA — Chicago Rush South soccer club will continue its Junior Rush Youth Development Academy this spring, teaching children ages 3-6 soccer fundamentals in a fun and educational environment.

The program will be held Wednesday evenings from April 18 to May 30 at Summit Park, 250 Rivers Edge Drive in Minooka. Kids ages 3 and 4 will meet from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Kids ages 5 and 6 will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost for the program is $95, and all participants will receive a T-shirt.

The sessions will include activities and games designed to teach and build on age-appropriate fundamental soccer skills. Participants will be taught by Chicago Rush South coaches who have experience with and been trained in working with young children.

The Junior Rush program is designed to serve as a steppingstone to Chicago Rush South's more structured recreational and competitive club soccer programs. Sessions will also be offered in the fall and winter.

Participants will need shin guards and a Size 3 soccer ball. Soccer cleats are recommended, and the children should bring a water bottle to each session.
