Crash Kills Man, 36, In Grundy County

The fatality was discovered on Sunday morning. The crash victim lived in western Illinois.

SENECA, IL —A 36-year-old man who lived in Galesburg died Sunday morning after authorities discovered his crash around 7 a.m. in Grundy County. The wreck happened near West Bluff Road and West Route 6 in the Seneca area.

An ambulance rushed the driver, Clarence Collier, to the emergency room at Morris Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Grundy County Coroner's Office announced.

"Preliminary investigation shows the decedent was traveling on West Route 6, when for an unknown reason lost control of his vehicle. The death remains under investigation by Callahan’s office, the Seneca Police Department and Grundy County Sheriff’s Office," Sunday's news release stated.
