Cream-Crunch-N-More Opens In Country Blaze BBQ: 7 Photos

CHANNAHON, IL — You may have seen the turquois and hot pink ice cream food truck parked along Route 6 or at a Joliet-area community outing during warmer weather.

Now, Cream-Crunch-N-More has a permanent home in Channahon besides its popular ice cream truck. Last weekend, business owners Jeff Otte and DJ Ross celebrated their grand opening for their new Cream-Crunch-N-More store.

It's inside Channahon's Country Blaze BBQ restaurant.

The two food-oriented businesses are sharing space. And they're thrilled about the partnership and believe it will be a win for both of them.

Their address is 25445 South Pheasant Lane Unit K. They're in the same strip mall as Pesciolino Osteria. It's along Route 6, not far from Ridge Road.

After operating the ice cream truck for about 18 months, Cream-Crunch-N-More is off to a pretty strong start in the Joliet and Will County area.

Its Facebook page recently cracked 3,000 likes, plus they have more than 3,100 followers.

Ross and Otte told Patch they will continue to operate their ice cream truck even with the new shared restaurant venture with Country Blaze BBQ.

In fact, they're already booking birthday parties, neighborhood events and corporate outings for this year. If you're interested in booking them, contact their Facebook page, they said.

"We were getting so big with the truck we needed to expand," Otte told Joliet Patch's editor last weekend.

Cream-Crunch-N-More isn't your typical ice cream parlor or ice cream truck.

"We are a unique Food Truck that specializes in Cereal Infused Ice Cream! We use our Super Premium Ice Cream with your favorite cereal, and our special infuser to create a deliciously unique, Cereal Infused Ice Cream Creation!" their website proclaims.

For the time being, Cream-Crunch-N-More is staying open at its new Channahon location from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

So why team up with Country Blaze BBA to share space?

"BBQ and ice cream is a perfect summer night combo," Ross remarked. "Our goal is to eventually expand to more locations. Anywhere between here and Indiana."

Cream-Crunch-N-More carries about a dozen unique ice cream flavors in its new Channahon store. Its shakes are popular. So are the ice cream cookie sandwiches.

"Did we mention we have a NON DAIRY Vanilla Chocolate Chip Ice Cream??? We also have a Strawberry Swirl NO SUGAR ADDED option!!" their Facebook page proclaims.
