Dangerous Sexual Predator Visits Channahon Park: Prosecutors

The Will County Forest Preserve Police Department investigated the June incident at the McKinley Woods forest preserve.

CHANNAHON, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged 62-year-old Chicago resident Domingo Estrada with being a sexual predator in a public park in the village of Channahon.

According to court records, the Will County Forest Preserve Police investigated the June 5 incident that led to the arrest of Estrada, who lives at 4559 South Halstead St.

The Will County criminal complaint states that Estrada, "a sexual predator, was knowingly present in McKinley Woods Fredericks Grove Forest Preserve, at 27110 South McKinley Woods Road in Channahon" contrary to state laws.

Estrada was 40 at the time of his crime that victimized an 8-year-old child, state police records reflect.

According to the Illinois State Police sex offender registry, Estrada's previous crimes include sexual exploitation of a child younger than 13 and failure to report annually to police.
