Deadline To Request Mail-In Ballot Nears For Will County Voters

The consolidated election will be held April 6.

WILL COUNTY, IL — Will County residents only have a few days left to register to receive a mail-in ballot for the April 6 consolidated election.

Voters can register for a mail-in ballot in several ways, including online, by phone, by mail, through the mail and in person. The final day to request a ballot is April 1.

Once ballots are completed, they can be delivered to the Will County Clerk's Office no later than 7 p.m. on election day. They can also be mailed to the clerk's office if they are postmarked by election day.

A single ballot drop box will also be available at 302 N. Chicago Street in Joliet.

Permanently disabled and hospitalized voters, meanwhile, can register to automatically receive a mail-in ballot for five years. The ballots can be returned by mail or by a trusted third party.

To receive a mail-in ballot, residents can request it online via the Will County Clerks Office or through the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Residents can also call (815) 740-4615 or email votebymail@willcountyillinois.com to receive a ballot, or send a request for an application by mail to the clerk's office at 302 N. Chicago St. in Joliet.

Residents can also visit the clerk's office in person to drop off a completed application or request an application through a campaign or political party.
