MINOOKA, IL — One of America's favorite pizza delivery businesses opened its first store in Minooka this week. The newly built Domino's franchise is at 801 South Ridge Road. Domino's calls the new business a "pizza theater."

“I’m very excited to open the doors to the first Domino’s in town,” said Mark Ratterman, Minooka Domino’s franchise owner, in a press release. “The store features an open-concept, interactive experience where customers can actually watch and track their pizza being made, each step of the way. Domino’s is bringing the art and fun of pizza-making to the forefront.”

On Wednesday, Patch visited the new business, interviewing Timothy Phillips, the general manager for the new Minooka Domino's on South Ridge Road.

The new Domino's was built near the shopping plaza anchored by the Ace Hardware store.

"We're excited to be here and be part of the community," Phillips told Patch.

The Minooka Domino's delivers within a 9-minute radius, so it will cover all of Minooka as well as parts of Channahon, he said.

The Minooka Domino's also features a pickup window, he added. The new restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

There are still several job openings for Domino's delivery drivers, Phillips said.
