Boy Scout Connor Kreiger, 17, is on the path to becoming an Eagle Scout. One of the major requirements of the Eagle award is to take the lead in a community-based project that involves organizing and directing others. Kreiger recently took the lead in construction of the deck and railings on a bridge between the Lakewood and Prairie Ridge Subdivisions in Minooka. The bridge will be completed before the spring when the ramps leading to the bridge are installed by the Minooka Village; the village provided materials and installed the bridge’s footings. Kreiger is a Channahon resident and a senior at Minooka High School. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 464 which meets at the Minooka United Methodist Church on Tuesdays.
