Grundy Bank Sued By Woman Who Fell In Braidwood
Channahon's Meents Law firm filed the lawsuit Friday at the Will County Courthouse.

BRAIDWOOD, IL —The Channahon law firm of attorney Frank Meents filed a civil lawsuit Friday at the Will County Courthouse accusing the Grundy Bank of negligent acts surrounding the Jan. 9, 2018 slip and fall of his client Sarah Weaver.
At the time of the incident, the Grundy Bank owned and managed a property in Braidwood at 288 S. Front St., which was T&C Anglers and Antlers.
The commercial property in Braidwood is also where Weaver worked, according to her lawyer.

The lawsuit lists seven instances of negligence on the part of the Grundy Bank. Some of the allegations raised in the lawsuit contend that the bank "caused or allowed ice to form in the parking lot at the time that the plaintiff was walking through that location."

The plaintiff's lawsuit seeks a judgment against Grundy Bank, which is in Morris, in excess of $50,000.
According to Weaver's attorney, she "suffered severe and permanent bodily injuries and mental injuries in and about the ankle, nerves and nervous system, and she ... still is and will continue to be sick, sore and disabled and, she will be disabled and suffer continuing pain for the remainder of her life ..."
