Local Gymnast to attend USTA Nationals

Local gymnasts Gianna DeMaso and Seianna Lozano will be competing in the United States Tumbling & Trampoline Association’s (USTA) National competition from June 14-19 in Rochester, Minnesota. The competition will be held at the Mayo Civic Center. The girls train under the instruction of Coach Anthony Combes.

DeMaso and Lozano compete for GymDynasty Gymnastics & Tumbling in Joliet. Although this competition season was different from others due to Covid, the girls were excited to attend the competitions that were offered. At each of the meets, the girls, along with their teammates, were on the podium and received several trophies/medals for their performances.

DeMaso and Lozano recently competed at the Northern Illinois USTA State competition where both girls qualified for nationals on all three competitive events; rod floor, double-mini, and trampoline. DeMaso is the state champion on the rod floor for her age and skill level.

The girls are grateful for the support from their teammates, parents, gym, and all the sponsors that have helped make attending nationals possible.
