MVP Sports Complex Opens in Minooka This Weekend

While professional baseball season will soon come to an end with Major League Baseball World Series kicking off this week, for young area athletes a new, indoor baseball and softball facility will keep the season going year-round. MVP Sports Complex is a 10,000 square-foot indoor baseball and softball facility located in the heart of Minooka offering both group and private instruction as well as camps and clinics for young athletes and even parents.

“As a baseball professional and parent of a young athlete, it was evident there was a need for an indoor complex to accommodate the growing number of competitive young baseball and softball players in our area,” said Lou Simios, co-founder of MVP Sports Complex. “What sets the facility apart is not only the premium level of equipment and outfitting of the complex but we have hand-picked the best instructors specializing in youth baseball and softball instruction and are encouraging everyone to come and experience our approach at our upcoming grand opening event,” continued Matthew Zilis, co-founder of MVP Sports Complex.

Grand Opening Event Offers FREE Instruction – October 27th

On Saturday, October 27, 2018, MVP Sports Complex will host a free grand opening event for area sports families. The first 50 youth athletes to arrive at 304 W. Mondamin Street, Minooka, IL, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. will have the chance to sign up for private, same-day instruction. Activities to include:

• Free Baseball or Softball Instruction– First 50 youth athletes to arrive at the grand opening are eligible to receive a 10-minute private instruction and evaluation from top area baseball and softball instructors.
• Test Baseball and Softball Equipment -- Representatives from top baseball and softball equipment manufacturers such as Rawlings, Axe Bat and Marucci will offer hands-on equipment demonstrations. Tournament provider and special baseball events operator Game Day USA will be present.
• Win Future Private Instruction – All grand opening attendees will be entered for a chance to win future private instruction and camps.

Rental Facility for Area Teams

MVP Sports Complex is an independent facility founded to serve area baseball and softball teams looking for a spacious indoor practice arena. The three hitting & pitching tunnels can be fully retracted to expand the space for scrimmages, outfield work and other practice elements. MVP Sports plans to operate solely as a sports complex and does not have plans to start a baseball or softball team organization.

The 10,000-square-foot facility boasts all new all turf indoor batting cages, an indoor infield, and pitching tunnels.
