New Dollar General In Channahon Carries Nathan's Hotdogs, More
Channahon just opened its second Dollar General store. The newly built store is along U.S. 6 on the west side of the village.
CHANNAHON, IL — Channahon's new Dollar General store opened on the village's west end Dec. 17. On Monday afternoon, the parking lot had several shoppers. This marks the second Dollar General for the growing Will County village. The new store will serve Channahon residents on the village's west side as well as people from the Minooka area.
One of the assistant store managers told Patch's editor Monday that she is especially proud that her new Dollar General includes an entire aisle of frozen foods including several varieties of French fries, plus the popular Nathan's Famous hotdogs.
The new store includes a large section of home goods including glass plates, she said.

The address for the new Dollar General in Channahon is 25445 South Peninsula, but it's actually north of Route 6 and east of Bell Road.
The new Dollar General is open every day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Dollar General will keep its other store open on the east edge of Channahon, just down the road from the Interstate 55 exit.
