Rollover Wreck On Ridge Road: Report

Chicagoland FireGround Scanner reported that one person may have been ejected during the Minooka crash.

MINOOKA, IL —Authorities in Minooka are investigating a rollover crash that involved an ejection, according to the Facebook public safety site Chicagoland FireGround Scanner. The single-vehicle crash occurred late Thursday afternoon at Ridge Road and Khater Drive.

The Minooka Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff's Department both had squad cars posted at different locations along Ridge Road to prevent motorists from driving in the area of the crash as it remained under investigation Thursday evening.

One of the motorists was airlifted to an area hospital for injuries suffered in the wreck, authorites told Patch at the scene.

Minooka police are urging people to avoid Ridge Road between Holt Road and Wildy. The roadway may be closed for several hours, the police department announced at 3:30 p.m.
