Starbucks Building New Store Along Ridge Road

MINOOKA, IL — If you've traveled along Ridge Road into the village of Minooka lately, you've probably noticed a new business under construction just south of the Interstate 80 exit for Minooka. It's being built behind the Taco Bell and the Wings Etc. restaurant. The new business will be a Starbucks coffee shop, according to village administrator Pat Duffy.

Duffy also said there will be a small commercial strip mall built nearby. "It will be retail most likely, maybe another chain restaurant or wireless cell carrier," he said.

Duffy said it's his understanding the Starbucks drive-thru will be open "hopefully by fall."

"It's a nice standalone facility," he said.
