Trinity Christian School Shares Christmas Around The World

Trinity Christian School students partnered with Operation Christmas Child and packed shoeboxes full of toys, school supplies, personal care items, clothing and crafts. Operation Christmas Child delivers these gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way.

“This is an opportunity for us as a school to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and to give to those who may have never had the opportunity to open a present on Christmas.” Vanessa Mohr, Kindergarten Teacher and Operation Christmas Child Committee Chair said. “Our students love this opportunity not only because they can fill a shoebox with gifts for children across the world, but it allows them to put a smile on a child’s face and fill their hearts with love.”

Eighth grade student, Alyssa Stonitsch of Channahon shared, “It is a good feeling knowing that you are helping those who are less fortunate.” Stonitsch added, “I tracked my package this year; it is really cool knowing who it is helping.” Through Operation Christmas Child, students have the ability to track their box and find out the country where it was delivered.

The Trinity students packed a total of 243 shoeboxes. That translates to 243 children will have something to open on Christmas and more importantly 243 children will know that they are loved.
