A Western Winter Wonderland: Channahon Park District

Channahon, IL- It is said, where there is love there is life. In Channahon, Illinois - located some 45 miles southwest of Chicago, the friendly people of this village would have to agree with that statement. In Channahon this winter, you can feel the pine fresh breeze as you cross country ski through it's myriad of trails through scenic bluffs, or along the I&M Canal. Perhaps you're up for a good adventure. Well, the Channahon Park District has you covered this season with it's Western Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 14th from 10am to 12:30pm. During this event you will experience a singing cowboy, a petting zoo, pony rides, and much more! Stay cozy by the campfire while you roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate from our hot chocolate bar! Then hop on our hay-rack ride, decorate cookies, or create some of our fun holiday crafts! This event is perfect for the whole family, so mark your calendars! The Candy Cane Scramble is back by popular demand and will take place at 11am! Please bring your cameras and dress for the weather, activities will take place outside!
