2nd Knifepoint Robbery In 3 Weeks At Park Ridge 7-Eleven
The same masked man with a hunting knife robbed the same store less than a month ago, but it was not reported to police, the clerk said.

PARK RIDGE, IL — A Park Ridge convenience store has been robbed at knifepoint twice in a month, but only the second one was reported to police. On Tuesday around 3:53 a.m., a man with a large hunting knife and a mask entered the 7-Eleven in the 500 block of Devon Avenue, the clerk told Park Ridge police.
The robber walked around the register counter and demanded that the clerk open it. The clerk told police the man took about $200 in cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The clerk was not hurt.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot, 7-inch to 5-foot, 9-inch white man with a medium build and dark hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, in addition to the black mask.

"It wold have been helpful," Deputy Police Chief Duane Mellema told the Chicago Tribune, "if we had information from the first incident." He said police are pulling surveillance video and contacting cops in other area departments to see if the same robber may have committed similar crimes in other towns.
