7-Year Old Girl Killed Sitting In Car At McDonalds Drive-Thru
Chicago police said the girl was shot sitting in a car with her dad at a West Side McDonald's in what is believed a targeted gang shooting.

CHICAGO — A 7-year-old girl was shot to death Sunday afternoon while sitting in a car at a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Chicago’s Homan Square neighborhood, police said.
Around 4:20 p.m., police were called to the McDonald restaurant in the 3200 block of West Roosevelt. Officers loaded the gravely injured child into their patrol car where she was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was identified as Jaslyn Adams, of Oak Park, by the Cook County Medical Examiner.
The 29-year-old father of the girl was also shot and taken to Stroger in serious condition. No one is in custody. Area 4 detectives are investigating.

Police believe the incident to be a targeted gang shooting. Jaslyn sustained six gunshot wounds, community activist Andrew Holmes said.
Family members told WGN that Jaslyn attended Cameron Elementary School. She loved to dance and make Tik Tok videos.

Jaslyn lived with her mother but was spending time with her father at the time of shooting. She and her dad loved McDonald’s.
