CHICAGO — The American Pickers are coming to Illinois in May and are looking for leads on unique collections to pick through. The documentary style series featured on the History Channel follows professional pickers as they search for rusty gold.

They want to meet the characters behind the remarkable and exceptional items, recycling and rescuing a few forgotten relics along the way. The pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are looking to discover something they’ve never seen before.

Among the finds in season 22 of American Pickers are a car trunk full of ultra-rare concert tees, amusement park relics, Hollywood hot rods, Apollo 11 souvenirs and the world’s most famous hamburger icon found in a chicken coup.
