CHICAGO — Even a pandemic-induced, indoor-dining shutdown won't stop AndySunflower Café from celebrating its grand opening in Pullman Tuesday.

The new coffee shop tucked inside One Eleven Food Hall — and across the street from the Calumet District police station — will start the morning by serving up free coffee and doughnuts to neighborhood first responders.

"I’m thrilled to open in Pullman and feel humbled to be welcomed into such a historic and vibrant community,” café owner Andrea Robinson said in a statement. “I want AndySunflower Café to help make the One Eleven Food Hall an idyllic neighborhood spot for any occasion, be it for a casual coffee meet-up, a quick bite or weekday lunch or dinner.”

The cafe, which Robinson started as a coffee cart in 2018 before sharing space inside Ain't She Sweet Café in Beverly, will be open for curbside pick-up and carry-out service starting Tuesday.

In addition to brewed coffee and tea, AndySunflower Café offers five signature lattes: Bananas Foster, Chocobutter, Magic Maple, Rosy Rose, and The Bourbon. Pullman's new coffee spot will offer glazed chocolate, strawberry, and glazed doughnuts from Roseland's iconic Old Fashioned Donuts, along with steel-cut oatmeal and other breakfast snacks and pastries.

AndySunflower Café joins the food hall’s two restaurant tenants, Majani Soulful Vegan Cuisine and Lexington Betty Smokehouse. All three dining options remain open for interior and curbside pickup service.

The café will be open Tuesday through Sunday, from 8am to 3pm. Online ordering is available at www.andysunflowercafe.com.
