ASAP Ferg To Play House Of Blues In Chicago This November

Harlem Rapper ASAP Ferg is coming to Chicago for a performance at the House of Blues on Thursday, Nov. 14.

CHICAGO — ASAP Ferg and his "American Yedi Tour" will stop in Chicago for a show at the House of Blues. Tickets are now on sale to see the Harlem Rapper on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The artist released his "Floor Seats" EP in August. It's his first album since 2017's "Still Striving," the new release features collaborations with ASAP Rocky, City Girls, Rico Nasty and Anthabee. The YEDI tour kicks off Nov. 7 in Pittsburgh, before stopping in Atlanta, Seattle, Houston and NYC. Special guests Murda Beatz and MadeinTYO will also perform in these cities, as well Chicago for the show on Nov. 14.

ASAP Ferg was born Darold D. Brown in 1988 in Harlem, New York City. He began his career with A$AP Mob in 2009 along with high school friend A$AP Rocky. The hip hop collective became known for their trap style of rapping and soon garnered record deals with Polo Grounds and RCA.

Ferg released his first solo EP, "Trap Lord" in 2013, it included the hit single, "Work." In 2015, he released a mixtape called "Ferg Forever" before completing his second studio album, "Always Strive And Prosper," in 2016. A year later, his "Still Striving" mixtape debuted to rave review in the hip hop world. It features guest appearances from rap greats like Meek Mill, Lil Yachty, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, French Montana and Snoop Dog.

While ASAP Ferg is known for his collaboration with the genre's best, his "Floor Seats" EP features more female artists. Inspired by his hit single with Nicki Minaj, "Plain Jane," Ferg told attendees at ComplexCon Chicago he wanted to collaborate with more women.

"It kind of opened my mind up to, like, ‘Oh wow, this is how I can turn up with a woman,’" he told Complex. "I always thought a woman song had to be kind of slow and kind of soft, but I can keep the energy up and turn up with a woman, as well.”

Concertgoers in Chicago are sure to hear these latest tracks along with Ferg hits like "New Level."
