CHICAGO, IL — Iconic recording artist and actress Barbra Streisand is coming to Chicago to perform her beloved songs for one night only on Aug. 6, 2019. According to the legendary singer's website, Streisand's manager Marty Erlichman announced the news of the upcoming show on Monday. Streisand's live performance will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the United Center.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, July 1, though presale tickets are already available for American Express cardholders and those with Live Nation presale access. Streisand's Chicago performance will follow a stop in New York City Saturday, Aug. 3 where she will perform live at Madison Square Garden for the first time in 13 years, arriving straight from London, according to her website.

Among Streisand, an award-winning recording artist, actress, composer, director, producer, activist, and author, is the only recording artist or group to have a number one album in six consecutive decades. Among Streisand's many hits are "The Way We Were," "Evergreen," "Somewhere," "Funny Girl," and several duets including "I Finally Found Someone," and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers."

"Streisand is the only artist ever to receive Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Directors Guild of America, Golden Globe, National Medal of Arts and Peabody Awards," according to her website, which also notes that in 2015, President Barack Obama presented her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
