Below Normal Temps Continue, Frost Possible Friday Night

Temperatures will stick around 60 degrees and below this weekend, as frost is possible on Friday night.

ILLINOIS — Temperatures remain below normal as we approach the weekend. A high of 61 is expected Saturday and a high of 55 on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

On Friday night, some areas could see frost, as nighttime lows dip below 32 degrees.

Saturday will be partly sunny and dry, but rain will move into the area on Saturday night and Sunday. Rain on Sunday is most likely south of Interstate 80, according to the weather service. Sunday is also expected to be breezy, with gusts up to 25 mph.

The below normal temperatures will continue into the start of the work week as well, as the high for Monday is 58 degrees, according to the weather service forecast.

Temperatures look to start to warm up slightly in the week ahead, as highs in the 60s are in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
