Carjacking Suspect Jumps from I-290 Bridge to His Death Friday Night
One suspect was killed by a car, 2 in custody, and 4th is on the run. Police shut down the inbound lanes of I-290 at Harlem Avenue.

CHICAGO, IL — Police shut down the inbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway near Harlem Avenue Friday night due to a carjacking. One man is dead, reports NBC Chicago, after he jumped from the Harlem Avenue overpass to escape police and landed on I-290 where he was hit by a car.
Two suspects were taken into custody on the overpass after attempting to flee, according to State Police. A fourth got away and a search continues for the suspect. State Police, Hillside police, and emergency vehicles remain on the expressway and have been for at least three hours.
CBS Chicago reports CPR was being administered to the suspect struck by a car.

The carjacking began in Hillside, according to a Chicago Tribune report. Police stopped the car on the overpass and four men jumped out and tried to escape.
The interstate was closed in both directions for a short while after the man dropped onto the expressway.

Inbound traffic on I-290 is now being allowed to pass on the shoulder. The CTA Blue Line was also delayed for about 15 minutes during the incident.
