Have you ever found yourself drooling over food featured in your favorite pop-culture fandoms? I know I have, or I have at least wondered what certain dishes taste like. Let’s be honest, the meat pie served at the red wedding in Game of Thrones was nauseating, but it might be fun to make an appetizing version as an homage. Here are some cookbooks featuring iconic and inspired eats to recreate in your own kitchen.

Feast of Fiction is a popular YouTube channel created by Jimmy Wong and Ashley Adams featuring recipes inspired by books, movies, comics, and even video games. Their first ever recipe collection, The Feast of Fiction Kitchen, is nostalgic, enticing, and just plain fun. Filled with recipes for appetizers, mains, desserts, and drinks, this book is bound to include something to inspire your themed cooking adventure.

If you’ve ever wondered what Deadpool’s chimichangas taste like in real life, now is your chance to find out! The Marvel Eat the Universe recipe collection features recipes inspired by characters from Marvel comics. Each recipe opens with a description that is filled with corny jokes and puns, along with tributes to the character’s universe and tips. Though the recipe is pretty simple, I enjoy the vibe of Rocket Raccoon’s Trash Omelet the most.

Another YouTube cooking icon, Andrew Rea, recreates popular dishes found in TV and Movies in the Binging With Babish cookbook. Because accuracy to appearance is prioritized, some recipes probably aren’t very tasty or may even be downright inedible, but readers will have a great laugh as they page through this collection. Rea also has a cookbook featuring recipes from cult and classic movies called Eat What You Watch.

The Geek's Cookbook has a little of everything with recipes inspired by movies, tv/animation, and video games in one collection. In the beginning of the book there is a “geek universe user guide” with information about the origins of each featured fandom. There actually is a Game of Thrones inspired pie in this book, though the main ingredient is pigeon instead of the less appetizing alternative featured in the series.
