Chicago Sky Beat Minnesota Lynx 105-89

The Sky beat the Lynx for their third straight win.

The Chicago Sky beat the Minnesota Lynx 105-89 in Minneapolis. The 105 points was a season high for the Sky, as they won their third straight.

Courtney Vandersloot became the fourth player in WNBA history to record 2,000 assists (joining Sue Bird, Ticha Penicheiro and Lindsay Whalen). She also notched her 41st career double-double (10 P, 13 A).

Allie Quigley led the Sky with 23 points off the bench. All five starters were in double digits: Stefanie Dolson 17, Kahleah Copper and Diamond DeShields 16, Candace Parker 12 and Courtney Vandersloot 10. Parker had seven boards to pace the team. Vandersloot also had four steals.

The Sky got out to a big lead early. They were up 39-23 at the end of the first quartyer and cruised to a 16 point win.

The Sky shot 57.1 percent (40/70) from the field, while the Lynx hit 45.7 percent (32/70). The Sky also lead in steals (12-7), forced turnovers (20-13) and assists 32-15).

The Sky stand at 5-7 for the season. The Sky return to action Thursday night at Wintrust Arena as they host the Connecticut Sun (8-3).
