Chicago Sky Beat New York Liberty

The Sky have improved to 8-7 after beating the Liberty for their sixth straight win.

The Chicago Sky tied a franchise record with their sixth straight victory, a 92-72 beatdown of the New York Liberty. The win improves the Sky's record to 8-7, good for third place in the Eastern Conference, only two games behind the first place Connecticut Sun.

This win was all about Candace Parker. Parker had 23 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. The Sky is 5-0 since Parker's return from an injury and 6-0 with Parker this season.

Allie Quigley had 14 points off the bench and was joined by Diamond DeShields (11), Courtney Vandersloot (10) and Kahleah Copper (10) in double digits. Vandersloot also had 10 assists, joining Parker in the double-double club for the night.

The Sky led by six after the first quarter, 16 at halftime and 23 at the end of the third quarter. The Liberty only managed to shave thre points from the lead in the fourth quarter.

The Sky had 42 rebounds to the Liberty's 32. They also only committed 9 turnovers, while forcing 16 from the Liberty.

The Sky return to action Thursday night at New York again. The Sky will be looking for their franchise record seventh straight win, while putting more distance between them and fourth place New York.
