Chicago Sky Lose, Snap 7 Game Win Streak
The Chicago Sky saw their franchise record 7 game winning streak end with a 74-56 loss to the Connecticut Sun

The streak could not last forever. The Chicago Sky had turned around their season via a seven-game winning streak. The Connecticut Sun, losers of three of their last four games, took it to the Sky. The Sky had won their recent two meetings over the last 17 days, but the third time was not a charm.
Playing on their home court, the Sun looked in control right from the start. The Sky looked tired and off their game. The Sun jumped to a 21-13 lead to end the first quarter. The Sky edged closer in the second quarter, making it 36-30 at halftime. Unfortunately, a 26-14 third quarter edge to the Sun put away the game. The Sky managed to shave off a couple points, but ultimately lost by 16.
In an oddity, three Sun players scored 62 of their 74 points (DeWanna Bonner 23, Brionna Jones 21 and Jasmine Thomas 18). Marquette's Natisha Hiedeman and Beatrice Mompremier were next with four points each.

The Sky were led by Kahleah Copper with 11 points. Allie Quigley, who had 11, off the bench, was the only other Sky player in double digits.
As for team stats, the only one that really stands out was three point percentages. The Sun shot 42.9% (6/14) to the Sky's low 20.8% (5/24).

The Sky sit in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 9-8. They are two games behind first place Connecticut (10-5) and a half game ahead of third place New York (8-8).
The Sky return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Dallas to face the Wings. In a season of streaks for the Sky, it is important to start a new win streak and not extend their losing streak.
