Chicago Weather: Wind Chill Advisory; Hourly Guide to Bone-Chilling Cold Today, Monday

When will today's cold temps bottom out?

CHICAGO, IL — How low can we go? And when will the bone-chilling cold temperatures hit bottom? Brace yourselves and bundle up — the next 48 hours will bite.

In fact, today's Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers game may go down as the coldest Chicago game in NFL history. (That may be the most interesting thing about this Bears season, sadly.)

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect throughout the Chicago area until 10 a.m. Monday, meaning there is potential for frostbite and hypothermia as very cold air and strong winds combine to generate low wind chills. The winds are coming out of the northwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour today, with gusts of 30 mph near the lake.
